The 917 series Glock pistol builds are what we feel are a culmination resulting in the "Ultimate Glock". Combining the ergonomics of the full size slide for optimum manipulation and control along with the concealibility of a G19 all while improving on the structural rigidity of the platform.
The 917 starts life as a factory G17 frame and is then chopped to accept G19 size magazines. The chop allows us to implement a magazine shroud and more substantial surface area for grip to the bottom of the hand than on a standard G19. The factory magwell and magwell scallop are restored and optimized for easier magazine loading while the backstrap is superficially reduced towards the bottom of the grip and straightened out towards the top. This affords you a much more comfortable grip angle and optimized presentation.
The finger grooves are removed and a single undercut is performed to allow your strong hand grip to be less compressed and closer to bore height. The undercut also serves to alleviate the dreaded "Glock knuckle" condition.
The trigger guard is opened up with our enhanced TG package allowing better access to the trigger with gloves both on or off. The factory takedown function is improved and accentuated by a slightly deeper cut that flows into our 1/4 pipe index cuts which afford maximum surface area for muzzle rise control.
The unique 917 slide is called The Singularity and its designed by Dave Modz and cut by Norsso using 17-4 stainless steel. Singularity slides feature cocking depressions in lieu if serrations which provide optimal purchase and extended use function. All slides are heat treated and hardened to Norsso spec.
The 917 trigger system employs a FACTR USA trigger that is then honed and tuned in house, along with the rest of the slide and frame internals which are fitted and then safety/function tested during assembly.
The current 917 barrel is provided by Killer Innovations and pricing is for the non threaded model.
Sights are available in both suppressor or standard height and feature serrated fiber optic front blades and serrated and blacked out rear sights by Angry Bear Arms.
Cerakote options vary and are applied in house. Both the trigger guard and grip feature our bi-tone option which leave them in raw polymer finish.

I’ve had my 917 for a little bit. Put some lead down range. She is a custom mixed color by Dave. It’s a darker eggshell cream white.
Grip chop looks right from glock factory. To be honest that’s what glock should of done with g19x but it’s all personal opinion.
Texture is heavenly petals, aggressive grips my hand without tearing it up after 500+ rds.
I had to try the glove bevel at 30-40 degree temps no problem manipulating controls.
I was a little unsure of the slide without serrations. But the pics do not do the 917 any justice. The rear pockets on the slide are easier to manipulate than slide serrations. It was love at first grip.
Angry bear suppressor height f/o front and blacked out rear. We topped it with a 507c and maybe a 508t in the near future.
I love my 917 and all the details. Dave is a master at his craft. Thank you Dave.
This, hands down, is the best striker fired pistol I have ever shot. The reason for the distinction is I also have a CZ P-01 graced by Dave that is the best hammer fired gun I’ve ever shot. But the 917 takes the cake. The ergonomics are second to none. His development of the slide and the indentations for ease of manipulation are amazing. It’s super smooth. The trigger has been finely tuned to perfect with a crisp break and defined wall. Then there is the paint....do yourself a favor and just let the master do what comes into his head! Dave has put together the finest striker fired gun there is.
